CD Release Party/ Performance

It was in the Spring of 2005 when we had our first boat ride in the waters of Charlotte Harbor in the Southwest coast of Florida. Port Charlotte is one of the favourite destinations of 'snow birds', a term used for people from the North who flock the warmer climates during the winter months, particularly Canadians. I performed in many local and tourist spots in Florida and met several people from various parts of North America, many of whom became good friends of ours over the years. Greg and Judy were a couple who lived close to the area and whom we met while performing at a local café and quickly became good friends of ours. They invited my wife and I one day, along with other friends, John and Pam, to cruise the waters of Charlotte Harbor on their boat. It was perfect setting for us all and we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the calm and relaxing moment and each other's company. That was the inspiration for the carrier song, "Charlotte Harbor" and the other track, "Sunset Cruise". Although these songs and others on this CD were written almost ten years earlier and with some songs while I was still in high school, it gives me a great thrill to finally be able to record and share them with you now! Enjoy this CD and may it also bring back to you memories of other warm places, friends and people that you’d met, and all the good times in your life.

Special thanks to my producer, Brian Gagnon, for helping me breathe life to my songs with his musical and vocal arrangements, to Mom and Dad who brought and introduced us to Port Charlotte, and to our BFF (Beautiful Florida Friends) for your continued support, camaraderie and friendship over the years.

“Marc’s latest CD is the best so far.  It’s easy listening, his vocals and instrumentals soothing and relaxing.  It is also special to us because it contains a song he especially wrote and dedicated to our daughter Jodi (his niece) for her 18th birthday.  The song is called “The Debutante”.  Everytime we play it, it brings back happy memories of her birthday, made unforgettable when Marc beautifully serenaded her with his song, “The Debutante”.
